(3) Spikes (transients of duration less than 50 microseconds) generated
by the equipment shall not exceed +50% or -150% of the normal line voltage
for DC power lines, + 50% of the normal RMS voltage for AC power lines or
the limits specified-in the approved EMC qualification test procedure for
other lines.
3.3.3.6 Bonding. The equipment shall be adequately bonded in
accordance with MIL-B-5087.
3.3.3.7 Warm-Up. The equipment shall operate as prescribed within
one minute after power applied.
3.3.4 Nomenclature and Nameplates. Nomenclature assignment and
nameplate approval for equipment identification shall be in accordance with
MIL-STD-130 and shall include:

3.3.4.1 Instruction Plate. A metal label shall be installed on
each cable assembly indicating its part number. Another label shall be
installed on or near each connector thereof to indicate its number.
NOTE: On type PP-4506/A and PS1037-3C a red warning metal label shall be
located adjacent to the nameplate and inscribed as follows:

UNIT R.F. GROUNDED
DO NOT SUBJECT TO DIELECTRIC
OR INSULATION RESISTANCE TESTS
3.4 Reliability. The specified mean-time-to-failure for this equipment
shall be 1200 hours, its discrimination ratio 1.5:1 and the provisions of
MIL-STD-781 shall apply.
